This year’s Art Basel Miami coincided with our project installation outside of Palm Beach. We loaded a Manhattan apartment into one truck and 4 dozen artworks into another. Furniture was installed on Saturday and then our “gallery on wheels” installed on Sunday. This laid the groundwork for the home’s design and refined our ideas for scouting in Miami.
We visited 7 fairs and 5 museums. Highlights included The Eric Firestone Gallery show at Untitled, The Future Perfect and Friedman Benda at Design Miami, and all of our Berlin friends at Art Basel. Artworks by female artists, large scale color field paintings, and three-dimensional wall hangings and sculptures were of special interest to us. Enjoy seeing Miami Art Week through our eyes!
