While a consistent aesthetic can provide a good foundation for a room, too much of one style can make a space feel like a furniture showroom. To avoid what we call the “Sea of Legs”, we purposefully select a range of furniture shapes, forms and bases and avoid banal combinations of four-legged pieces to help give a balanced mix within a space. For our Beverly Hills Canyon House, Jorge Zalszupin’s octagonal coffee table from Noho Modern does just that, with a folded rosewood base that contrasts nicely with the armchair’s steel sled.
